The Former Salter House, Toorak: Heritage Conservation and Restoration
July 2020
As heritage architects we are delighted to share that our Former Salter House, originally designed by Walter Burley Griffin and Marion Mahony Griffin, was featured in Open House Melbourne 2020. This project demonstrates a sensitive balance between heritage preservation and contemporary design.
The project was also recently highlighted in Domain, which you can read about in Domain. In addition, it was shortlisted in the 2019 Houses Awards in the House in a Heritage Context category, recognising the careful restoration and thoughtful adaptation of this historic home.
