Celebrating Excellence: Ivanhoe Project Shortlisted in Two Prestigious Categories at Houses Awards 2024
May 2024
We’re delighted to announce that our Ivanhoe project, formerly the Beddison Swift House, has been shortlisted in two prestigious categories at the Houses Awards 2024.
House in a Heritage Context
The first shortlisting recognises our work in the House in a Heritage Context. This award celebrates exemplary new works and conservation projects involving heritage buildings and their associated landscapes, with a strong focus on sensitive integration and respect for original fabric.

House Alteration and Addition Under 200m²
The second shortlisting is in the House Alteration and Addition under 200 square metres. This category honours outstanding design in renovations, extensions, or substantial reworkings of existing detached or semi-detached residences. This recognition shows how carefully we evolved the home while preserving its architectural integrity.
About the Houses Awards
Presented annually by Houses magazine, the Houses Awards celebrate excellence in residential design across Australia. The program illustrates a diverse range of projects that reflect the evolving ways we live. And highlights the impact of thoughtful, well-resolved architecture on everyday life.
Our Commitment
We achieved the distinction of being shortlisted in two categories. It reflects our practice’s ongoing commitment to innovation, craftsmanship, and respect for heritage. We are proud to see the Beddison Swift House recognised within a national design forum.
Being shortlisted in two categories is a meaningful acknowledgment of our practice’s ongoing commitment to innovation, craftsmanship, and respect for heritage. Projects such as the Beddison Swift House typically begin with a Master Plan and feasibility study, allowing heritage constraints, scope, and long-term potential to be carefully explored before design decisions are resolved.
Architect Hewson delivered this project in collaboration with us. We are grateful for the shared vision that shaped the final outcome.
