The Lakes – A Great Example Of Prefabrication

This is a project I worked on whilst I was living in London whilst working with Philippe Starck at Yoo Ltd. Each residence was prefabricated by Riko in their factory in Slovenia, and then transported to England. I had the pleasure of visiting their company in Slovenia. It was one of the most enjoyable business trips I have had due to their wonderful hospitality. We were taken to visit their factory along with some local examples of their work. They use Russia larch for their projects, which goes a beautiful silvery grey when left untreated. I just wish it was economical to use their amazing product here in Australia.
