Robin Boyd was a great Australian modernist architect. He was not only a brilliant architect; he was also a great public educator of architecture to the broader community. He was passionate about good design and devoted his life to creating a wider public understanding of its benefits. He also made good design accessible to the public. His passing away in 1971 left a great gap that hasn’t since been filled. How do we educate the public on the benefits of architecture? Mass education requires mass communication.
