Architect On Site

Did you know that I can often walk into a house and tell whether the architect was actively involved on site? This isn’t a reflection on the builder’s quality, it highlights just how important it is to have your architect engaged throughout the entire project.

Many people assume that the design process ends once the drawings are complete, but that couldn’t be further from the truth. Drawings alone cannot capture every detail, as fully documenting every element would be impractical in terms of both time and cost.

If achieving high-quality results is a priority, it is essential to involve your architect from the concept stage all the way through to the end of the defects liability period, typically twelve months after completion. Their ongoing presence ensures that the design intent is realised, issues are addressed promptly, and your investment is protected.
