A Master Plan Session gives you the knowledge to move forward with confidence – understanding both the opportunities and the constraints of your project.

Before we meet, we undertake detailed research specific to your property so our time together is focused, productive, and tailored to you. During the session, we explore layout ideas through preliminary sketches, test alternatives, and discuss realistic cost ranges, approvals, consultants, and timeframes.

You will have with clear direction, sketch ideas, and practical insight into your renovation, extension, new build, heritage project, or high-performance retrofit, including projects targeting Passive House or EnerPHit standards.

The session include:

• An overview of key issues relevant to your project, informed by detailed pre-meeting research
• Property assessment
• Discussion of your aims and brief
• Testing and workshopping layout ideas through preliminary sketches
• Exploring alternatives and consolidating what works
• High-level cost considerations, including indicative project and Cost of Works budgets, permits and fees, specialist consultants, builder selection, time frames, cost control, common pitfalls to avoid, and strategies for delivering high-performance, ultra-low energy, comfortable and healthy homes

In some cases, a Feasibility Study may be recommended to test project costs.

Depending on your preferences, we may also provide you with a Fee Proposal to take your project from concept through to completion on site.

Booking a session: Sessions are offered in limited numbers to ensure each project receives careful preparation and focused time.

Session fee: $1,270 (including GST). This includes detailed pre-meeting research and an intensive on-site Master Plan session tailored to your project.

Location: On site, or via Zoom for remote projects.
