The clients for this home love the outdoors, so they naturally fell in love with this vacant block of land with views to the bay, a beach within a short stroll, with a creek and nature reserve joining the rear of the property.
The three storey new build home is for a family of four, including two lovely teenage daughters.
The home is located in a bayside suburb of Melbourne, with views from the front of the house towards the bay, and views to the adjoins creek and nature reserve to the rear. The priority of the design was to capture these views to the east and west, whilst providing adequate manipulative shading devices for the hotter Melbourne days. North faced glazing was introduced for solar gain, again with manipulative shading devices.
The ground floor includes a entrance gallery, guest quarter (bedroom and ensuite); and a open plan living, dining kitchen overlooking the north facing swimming pool and rear decking looking towards the creek and nature reserve. The dinning room has a double height open space to being a sense of grandeur to the home. A double garage was provided at the front of the house, along with adequate storage for water sports equipment.
The top floor is the master bedroom suite, with a walk-in-robe and ensuite; which has views up and down the bay.
This is a concept for a new build three-storey residential project over looking Port Phillip Bay.
