Jane Cameron: Interior Designer in Melbourne

As a leading interior designer in Melbourne, Jane Cameron Finlay’s experience is unique, having worked on numerous high-end interior focused projects, both locally and internationally.

International Experience

Jane has extensive international experience as an interior designer and architect, having completed projects in Barcelona, Dallas, Dubai, Jeddah, Kuala Lumpur, London, Melbourne, Moscow, Riyadh and Sydney.

In London Jane worked for Mark Pinney Associates; who are highly regarded in the high-end retail sector. Some of their clients include the international luxury brands: Apple, Armani, Bulgari, Burberry, De Beers, Donna Karen, Calvin Klein Emanuel Ungaro, Ermenegildo Zegna, Georg Jensen, Nobu, Salvatore Ferragamo, and YSL.

Jane was responsible for the practice’s major client, Burberry. Her achievements included the Burberry Flagship Stores in London and Barcelona, along with their retail outlet in the famous Gum Building on Red Square, Moscow; amongst others. Whilst at the practice Jane also worked closely with the New Yorker entrepreneur Carlos Alamado on ‘Almada Bar & Club’ and ‘Automat’ restaurant.

Later Jane worked with the French product and interior designer Philippe Starck – who is said to be the most famous and prolific designer alive. Then Jane joined Eva Jiřičná Architects. Eva is known for her high-end retail projects, along with her signature glass staircases. Her clients include Apple, Boodles, Harrods, Jigsaw, Marcus, and the Victoria and Albert Museum.

Whilst at the practice Jane was responsible for Eva’s long standing client the English Jewellers ‘Boodles’, having completed their Flagship Store on the famous New Bond Street, London.

In 2009, Jane returned to Australia and went onto she set up her own architecture and interior design practice. Since then Jane successfully collaborated with the English designers Ken Sen Sen and Michael Jan Studio for the Japanese brand ‘Superdry’; and has worked on a number of private residential projects.
